Guide To Reversi

You must have 2 players seated at the table to play. More than 2 can watch and chat, but only two can play at a time.

Upon hosting the game seat yourself as either player "X" (white) or player "O" (black). Player "X" always goes first. Upon joining a game, allow the host(ess) to seat you in the available seat. To seat, left-click on each player and then click on one of the buttons saying "Player X" or "Player O," whichever is appropriate. As host, you also have the ability to "kick" a player (disconnect from your table) or "mute" a player (remove their ability to chat at your table).

Once both players are seated, the host must click the button that says "Start Game."

Player "X" (white) will go first by single clicking in the square on the board that he wishes to move a new stone into. ;You will see that two stones of each color will automatically be placed there at the start. Player "X's" move must surround at least 1 black stone (which will then turn said black stone to white). Then it is player "O's" turn. Player "O" (black) must then place a stone that surrounds at least 1 white stone (which will then turn black). Play will continue until such a time as there are no free squares left or neither player can move (see rules for more details).

Lock Door -- This button prevents other players from entering the room and is only visible and useable by the host.

Play Sound -- This button allows pre-loaded .wav files to be played by any in attendance at a table and heard by all in attendance at a table. To play sounds, click on "Play Sound" and then click on the appropriate sound from the selections available.
