Advertising
IM -
{MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, ect.} Programs
IM{instant messaging}
ads are a nice reminder to send out about 1 hour prior to your tourney
start time. Sometimes players are on line, but not in iPlay to see the ads running.
Sort
your contact list by game - send out a message to everyone letting them know what games
you are running asking what games they would like to receive ads
for. You may then create a group for those that wish to
receive all tourney ads, then by game or player request. It
makes sending all your tourney notices very easy using the
multiple recipient feature in your IM program and clicking on that
group for the ad you are sending. |

Start
Times
This is the most common player
complaint. Please be ready to start promptly on the hour. If need
be, set a timer for 5 minutes til to remind you, & hold off on
additional sign-ups (tell those coming in you will be right with
them!). Finalize your current assignment list and, on the hour, run
your assignments. Then announce that anyone not listed to please
join you.
It is not fair
(and annoying) to the "on
time" players to have to wait for you to get those late-comers
assigned. Get organized! If you have a single left, ask them
to be a possible sub. If you have an odd team, give them a bye.
Know when to close sign
ups!
It is hard to
turn away players, but accepting more players beyond 10 minutes past
the hour will put the other tables behind and make them wait. Make a macro saying "sorry you missed
this one, add my MSN/Yahoo
etc
" |

Player
Turnout Low
player turnoutTourneys typically take a while to build up
attendance. Avoid canceling a tourney because of what you
think is insufficient players. As long as you have
enough for one table, you should still hold the event.
Being consistent is very important, and players will
eventually become accustomed to your day/time. If, after a few
weeks, you are not making progress, then consider changing to a
different slot or game. |

Macros
If
you want to watch for your ads, open the Club Admin lobby
{CLAD}
instead of Main. Keeping out of Main lobby
will decrease the possibility of running a macro in the wrong
lobby.
Club Admin
Training staff are available to assist you with designing and reviewing
your macros. Contact us in the club admin lobby if you would like some help.
